Senior Gelato Artisan & Baker

Job Duties:

  • Produce gelato and sorbets according to Lola’s authentic recipes

  • Expertise in the art of gelato making; writing and balancing recipes, base aging, mixing and extracting

  • Has a strong grasp of producing and baking doughs, pastries and cookies from scratch

  • Assists with decorating cakes, cookies and pastries with precision and attention to detail

  • Follow production protocols and maintain quality standards

  • Assist with setting up baked goods and gelato areas of retail shop 

  • Maintains a sanitized, organized and efficient work environment 

  • Inventory management for BOH and FOH

  • Follow and update strict production schedules

  • Strong time management, organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Teamwork skills, as well as the ability to work independently

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Perform other duties as required or assigned

  • Ability to lift 30-50 lbs

  • Ability to operate and sanitize commercial equipment

Employment Terms: Permanent, Full-time, 40 hours/week

Language Requirements: English

Wage: $18-$20/hr

Hours: M-F, 5am - 1pm, with on-call periods during peak seasons

Skill Requirements:

  • 4+ years of experience making gelato (required)
